Stock counts are right on the day they are done and drift from the next morning. The drift is not carelessness — it is that the figure is maintained separately from the events that change it.
The fix is structural
Stock should move because a document moved. A delivery challan takes goods out; a goods receipt puts them in. When there is no separate stock entry to remember, there is nothing to forget.
