Sales
Leads, customers, companies, deals and follow-ups — one place where every enquiry has an owner and a next step.
The list of people who might buy, and what was said to each
Every business already has a version of this. Usually it lives across a spreadsheet, three inboxes, a WhatsApp thread and somebody’s head. That works until two people chase the same enquiry, or the person holding the memory is on leave.
Sales is where it lives instead — leads, customers, companies, deals, tasks and the whole history of what was said, in one place that does not depend on anyone remembering to mention something.
Four things, and the story attached to each
Leads
Enquiries that have not become customers yet, carrying where they came from, the stage reached, what they might be worth and who owns them.
Customers and companies
The people and businesses you actually invoice — the same record the invoice, the challan and the ledger will use.
Deals
Open opportunities with a value, a probability and a close date, on a board you can drag and group however you think.
Tasks and activity
What has to happen next, plus every note, logged call and e-mail — so cover is possible when somebody is away.
Duplicates are caught before they multiply
The same enquiry arrives twice — once through a form on Monday, once by phone on Thursday. Detection matches on e-mail, phone, mobile and company name, and it is deliberately fuzzy because exact matching catches almost nothing in practice.
- A mobile with a country code and one without are the same number
- “Kirti Engineering Pvt Ltd” matches “Kirti Engineering”
- You choose whether the second is blocked or let in and flagged
- A Similar tab shows what it matched, and merges nothing on its own
It remembers where you put things
Cards move between columns and within them, and the position holds. Columns stay put when a card leaves — a small thing that is maddening when software gets it wrong, because a board that rearranges itself is a board you stop trusting.
- Group by stage, owner, source, pipeline or a field you added yourself
- Your arrangement becomes your default, without changing anyone else’s
- Each column totals the value sitting on it
Three reasonable answers that stop scaling
Most businesses arrive here from one of these. None of them are stupid; they all fail at a predictable point.
| What you have now | With JAI CRM | |
|---|---|---|
| A spreadsheet | Two people cannot edit at once, nothing records what was said on a call, and there is no such thing as a reminder — only a column somebody has to read. | ✓One record per enquiry, edited by anyone with permission, with the calls and notes on it and follow-ups that appear as tasks. |
| WhatsApp and an inbox | A conversation on a personal number is invisible to everyone else, cannot be handed over, and leaves when that person does. | ✓The thread is attached to the record, so anybody covering can see the whole story before they reply. |
| A standalone CRM | Solves the pipeline and stops at the invoice. The same customer is entered again in the accounting software, and “did they pay?” means opening a second system. | ✓The won deal becomes the quotation, the order and the invoice, and the ledger is written as it happens. |
The loss is never a deal you can point at
The enquiry nobody called back
It did not complain. It simply went elsewhere, and nothing recorded that it had ever been warm.
The quotation that went out late
Four days after it was asked for, by which time somebody else had already sent theirs.
The customer answered once
They asked twice. The second message arrived while somebody was on leave and was never picked up.
None of these produce a complaint. They produce a conversion rate everybody assumes is normal for the industry.
It does not stop at the pipeline
