What was wrong

Every date field that filled itself in (the issue date on an invoice, the due date worked out from credit days, the date on a payment, a credit allocation, an expense, a journal entry, the start of a recurring journal, the lock-up-to date on a closed period, the date and time on a logged call) was being filled from UTC rather than from the calendar on your wall.

India is five and a half hours ahead of UTC. So between midnight and half past five, every one of them offered the previous day. Seventeen places in all.

Most of the time somebody notices and changes it. The times that matter are the ones where nobody does: once a month that lands in the previous month, and once a year in the previous financial year, on a document that goes to the government.

What changed

A date input is not an instant. It is the day it is where the person filling it in is standing. All seventeen now take that, and it is checked both east of UTC and west, including that the value shown parses back to the very instant it came from, so nothing shifts by a day on its way to being saved.

It was found because a visit recorded at twenty past four in the morning offered the tenth of September as the date it happened.

Does this affect anything existing?

Nothing already saved is touched. A date somebody accepted is the date on that record, and changing it now would be rewriting the books rather than fixing them.

It is worth a look at anything raised in the early hours: an invoice, a payment or a journal entry created before half past five, whose date nobody changed by hand, is a day earlier than it should be.

1 GB storage per workspace (organisation)

Only want this one module?

Individual modules are sold on their own alongside the plans. See every module’s price.

What about storage?

A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.

Annual or monthly?

Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
