Making things, when it takes more than a moment
An assembly is one act. A shirt cut on Monday and sewn on Tuesday is not, and on Tuesday afternoon the cloth is neither cloth nor a shirt.

The gap an assembly cannot describe
Assemblies have always turned components into a finished item in one act: the parts leave, the thing arrives, same ledger entry. That is right for a gift box made up at the counter, and it is still there for exactly that.
What it cannot express is a job that takes two days. Cut on Monday, sewn on Tuesday, and on Tuesday afternoon the cloth is neither the cloth you bought nor the shirt you sell. That state is called work in progress, and a business that needs to answer “where is it now” could not answer it here until today.
A bill of materials, and runs made from it
A bill of materials says what goes in, what is done to it, and which operation consumes which component. Fabric at cutting, thread at stitching: on a long job that difference is the difference between knowing what is still on the shelf and guessing.
It is a record of its own rather than a field on the item, because one item can be made more than one way. A sample run by hand and a production run on machines are two bills of materials for one shirt, not one item that keeps changing its mind.
Operations say what must finish before they start. A bill of materials whose operations wait on each other in a circle is refused when it is written, with the loop named. Left in, it produces an order where every job refuses to start and no single job is at fault.
Where stock is, at each of the five stages
Draft and confirmed
A plan, then an agreed plan. Nothing has moved.
Released
Job cards exist. Still nothing has moved: a card is paper.
In progress
The components have come off the shelf. This is the stage that needed a module.
Completed
The finished item goes into stock, at what the run actually cost.
And what it cost, against what it was meant to
Materials are costed at what they were worth as they left the shelf, not the average they drift to three purchases later: a shirt made in March cost March’s cloth. Time is costed at the hourly rate of the station it ran on rather than the person on it, because costing a shirt by who happened to sew it makes two identical shirts cost different amounts.
Anything unpriced contributes nothing and is named as unpriced. A component with no cost on the register and a station with no hourly rate both appear as a line saying so, rather than being quietly counted as free.
Job cards record time two ways, because two kinds of shop exist: one starts a timer at the bench, the other writes the times up at the end of the day. Offering only the first makes the second invent numbers.
Does this affect anything you already have?
No. Assemblies work exactly as they did and are still the right tool for a one-step build. Nothing about existing stock, valuation or documents changes. Manufacturing is a module that was not there rather than a change to one that was. If you make things in one act, carry on.

5 GB storage per workspace (organisation)
Only want this one module?
Individual modules are sold on their own alongside the plans. See every module’s price.
What about storage?
A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.
Annual or monthly?
Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
