Nothing reaches the shelf unchecked
Without a gate, a run that finishes puts whatever came off the line onto the shelf, and the first person to find out it was wrong is the customer.

A report tells you afterwards
Quality as a report is useful, and it is the second thing you want. The first is something that stops a bad batch reaching a customer, and that has to happen at a particular moment: after the work is done, before the stock exists.
A manufacturing order cannot be marked complete while an inspection against it has not passed, and the refusal names the inspection rather than saying “quality checks outstanding”.
Four things, and they are not the same thing
A template
What to look at. Criteria, how many to take, how many may fail. Written once, reused across products.
A rule
When to look. This item, this kind of transaction, through these templates.
An inspection
One actual look at one actual batch, raised by the system rather than by hand.
A worklist
One template’s worth of that look: what an inspector is handed.
Why the limit lives on the rule
The template says there is a parameter called shaft diameter, measured in millimetres, checked with a range. The rule says that for this motor the range is 24.9 to 25.1. That split is what lets one template serve forty products instead of forty templates serving one each.
A furniture shop that looks at a chair and sees a scratch does not need any of that: simple view is a sample size, an allowance, and one number typed at the end. A motor that looks perfect and fails on insulation does. Both end at the same question: did more than the allowance fail?
Three defaults, each the strict reading
Leave the allowed-failures box empty and a single failure fails the batch. A parameter nobody measured does not pass: an inspection where a reading was skipped and the batch passed anyway certifies something nobody looked at. An inspection with one template still pending is not a pass; it is an inspection that has not finished.
In the one module whose job is to refuse things, a blank that quietly permitted failures would be the worst possible default.
Goods from a vendor are treated differently, on purpose
Stock that has arrived is in the building whether or not it is any good. Refusing to record it would leave the shelf and the register disagreeing, which is worse than recording it and flagging it. So a purchase receipt raises its inspections and is never blocked by them: a failed inspection on a purchase is a debit note, not a rejected transaction.
Does this affect anything you already have?
Nothing is inspected until you write a rule and switch it on. A rule is created as a draft and enforces nothing until you make it active, so the module can be set up in full without any transaction being refused while you are still deciding what to check.

5 GB storage per workspace (organisation)
Only want this one module?
Individual modules are sold on their own alongside the plans. See every module’s price.
What about storage?
A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.
Annual or monthly?
Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
