The app never mentioned that a newer one existed
The app is not a shortcut to the website. It carries the whole product inside it. So everything we shipped reached your browser and not your phone, and nothing said so.

What was happening
The Android app is not a shortcut that opens the website. The whole product is packaged inside it, which is what lets it open instantly on a bad connection rather than waiting on a signal. The trade is that nothing we ship reaches a phone until a new app is installed.
Nothing ever said one was ready. So an app installed in September stayed as it was through every improvement since, while the same person’s browser moved on, and the two behaved differently, for a reason that was invisible from either.
What there is now
Settings → The app says which build is on the phone, which is the latest, and offers the download when the latest is newer. Installing goes over the top: nothing is lost and you stay signed in.
It compares build numbers rather than version names, which sounds like a detail and is not. Written as text, “1.10.0” comes before “1.9.0”, so a phone on 1.9.0 would have been told it was ahead of 1.10.0 and never offered another update again.
The care it took to be quiet when it should be
It never says you are up to date on no evidence
Where the app cannot report its own version, the screen says exactly that and offers the download anyway, rather than guessing, and guessing reassuringly.
A build it cannot read is no build
Not one that is always newer, which would nag for ever, and not one that is always older, which would never tell anybody. Both look like working software.
Nobody is nagged backwards
Somebody already ahead of the published build (a version since withdrawn) is left alone.
The file is checked before it is served
The build publishes a checksum, and the server refuses a file that is not the one it says it is. The checksum is on the screen too, for anybody who wants to confirm it.
And the reason it would not have worked
Worth admitting, because it is the part that would have made the whole thing pointless. The finished app was published by the build but nothing brought it to the server. That step had always been done by hand. The screen would have kept offering whatever was last fetched, however many builds had happened since, and a screen that is confidently wrong looks exactly like one that is right.
It is fetched automatically now, every ten minutes.
Does this affect anything you already have?
Nothing is lost. Installing over an existing app keeps your session and everything on the device. The first time, Android asks you to allow installing from this app. That is Android, not us, and it asks once.
If you use the suite in a browser, none of this applies to you and the screen says so rather than offering you a file you have no use for.

5 GB storage per workspace (organisation)
Only want this one module?
Individual modules are sold on their own alongside the plans. See every module’s price.
What about storage?
A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.
Annual or monthly?
Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
