A dialog works for two lines and falls apart at ten

Raising a transfer was a pop-up. That is fine for two lines and unusable at ten: a scrolling box inside a scrolling page, with the Save button somewhere below the fold.

A transfer is a document, so it gets a page

Nobody raises a quotation in a pop-up, and a transfer of forty lines is the same kind of thing. Every serial-numbered line adds a chooser of its own, and inside a dialog those stack up into a scrolling box inside a scrolling page with the buttons that act on the whole thing pinned out of sight.

Both halves are pages now. Saving a new one lands you on the transfer you just made, rather than back on a list where the thing you were working on is one row among thirty.

And what it can finally hold

💬

Comments

The carrier’s excuse for the missing box belongs on the transfer, not in somebody’s inbox.

▤

Its own history

Every change to it, in order. A transfer has no activity tab anywhere else, so this is the only place its story can be read.

Files

The delivery note, the photograph of the damaged carton, the carrier’s proof of delivery, attached to the thing they are about.

A contradiction the screen used to admit to

Choosing which units to move was one field and the quantity was another, and the two could disagree: the screen would say 2 of 1 chosen, and then the save would be refused.

For a serial-numbered line the quantity is not a separate fact to keep in step. It is how many units were ticked. So ticking them sets it, scanning them sets it, and the quantity box is read-only rather than a second place to be wrong.

Does this affect anything you already have?

Nothing changes about transfers already raised, beyond having somewhere better to read them. Existing links and bookmarks to the transfers list still work.

1 GB storage per workspace (organisation)

Only want this one module?

Individual modules are sold on their own alongside the plans. See every module’s price.

What about storage?

A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.

Annual or monthly?

Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
