A role now replaces a person’s own permissions
Somebody with a role now gets exactly what the role gives. Their own permissions apply only when they have no role, and are never changed by ticking or unticking one.

What changed
A person’s own permissions used to be read on top of their roles, adding to them or taking away from them. That made it hard to tell what anybody could actually do. The rule is now one sentence: a role replaces a person’s own permissions.
How it works now
With a role
They get exactly what their roles give. Their own permissions are kept but not used.
Without a role
They get exactly their own permissions, from the Permissions tab of their record.
Nothing is lost
Ticking or unticking a role never changes their own permissions. Remove the last role and they apply again.
Said on screen
The Permissions tab shows only their own ticks, and says Not in use while a role is ticked.
Does this affect anything you already have?
Only for people who had both a role and permissions of their own. They now get exactly what their role gives. To give one person something different from their role, copy the role in Settings > Roles & permissions and give them the copy.

5 GB storage per workspace (organisation)
Only want this one module?
Individual modules are sold on their own alongside the plans. See every module’s price.
What about storage?
A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.
Annual or monthly?
Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
