An accountant’s module: journals, a chart of accounts, a trial balance
Depreciation, an accrual, an opening balance, a correction: none of them had anywhere to go. Now they do, and you can take a trial balance of the result.

What was missing
Every figure in the suite was derived straight from the documents. That answers “what did we sell” perfectly well and cannot answer “what is the balance on rent” at all. There was nowhere to put a depreciation charge, an accrual, an opening balance or a correction, and no way to take a trial balance of anything.
What is there now
A chart of accounts
Shipped for an Indian small business: GST input and output split by component, TDS on both sides, advances both ways, unapplied credits, and a bad-debt account, because writing an invoice off has to land somewhere. It appears the first time you open the page.
Manual journals
Double entry as the check rather than the style: debits and credits must agree before one can be posted, a line is either a debit or a credit, and every account named has to be open.
Posted entries are reversed, never edited
A second entry with every line on the other side, and both stay in the books. An entry that vanishes is an entry nobody can audit.
Trial balance and ledgers
What every account stands at, what moved on it, and a general ledger per account with a running balance. The trial balance says plainly when it does not balance, which is the point of taking one.
A balance sheet
Assets on one side, what is owed and what the owners have in it on the other, with the period’s profit where it makes the two sides meet.
Fixed assets
What was bought, what it cost, how it is written down and what has been written off it so far. The value now is cost less depreciation, never a figure typed in.
Closing a period
Nothing dated on or before a lock date may be created, changed or deleted. A period that has been filed cannot go on changing underneath the return filed from it.
Does this affect anything existing?
Nothing changes until you post a journal. The chart appears the first time the module is opened and can be renamed, added to or pruned; the accounts the system relies on can be renamed but not deleted, because something is looking for them.
The finance module is called Books now, which is what it is.

5 GB storage per workspace (organisation)
Only want this one module?
Individual modules are sold on their own alongside the plans. See every module’s price.
What about storage?
A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.
Annual or monthly?
Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
