Two documents saved at the same moment no longer clash over a number
When two people saved an invoice, quotation, proposal or any other numbered record at the same moment, both could be given the same number, and the second save failed with "That value is already in use". Each save now waits its turn for a fraction of a second and gets the next number.

What was wrong
A number was worked out by reading the counter, building the number and then moving the counter on. Two saves landing together could both read the counter before either moved it, so both built the same number. The record that came second was refused with That value is already in use, and had to be saved again.
We found it while testing proposals: five created at the same instant gave one success and four refusals, and quotations did the same. It applied to every numbered record: quotations, proposals, orders, invoices, credit notes, purchase documents, payments and the rest.
How it works now
Numbers for one kind of record in one business are now handed out one at a time. A save that arrives while another is taking a number waits for it to finish, then takes the next. Ten invoices saved at the same instant now get ten numbers in a row, with no gaps and no refusals, in about two seconds between them.
The next number shown in Settings › Numbering is read without waiting.
Does this affect anything you already have?
No. Numbers already issued are unchanged, and each series carries on from where it is.

What about storage?
A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.
Annual or monthly?
Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
