Convert a quotation in parts, and cancel what has gone wrong
Several orders from one quotation, but never for more than was quoted. And a way to cancel a document that has gone wrong.

A quotation could be converted twice over
One quotation may become several sales orders. A customer takes half now and half in March, and that is ordinary. What was not ordinary is that the two of them could add up to more than was quoted: each conversion looked at the quotation on its own and copied whatever it was asked for, so a quote for five units could become three orders for five units each.
And the opposite fault sat beside it: a quotation was marked converted after the first partial order, which closed it. The customer taking half now and half in March could be served exactly once.
What happens now
Several orders, one quotation
Convert three units today and two in March. The quotation stays open until there is nothing left to draw.
Never more than was quoted
Every conversion counts what earlier ones took, line by line, and refuses to go past it.
The arithmetic is in the message
“Widget: 3 asked for, 2 left of 5”, rather than a refusal with no numbers in it.
Counted from the documents themselves
Not from a running total on the quotation, which would go wrong the first time an order was deleted.
The same for invoices
A sales order cannot be invoiced for more than it holds, by the same rule.
Cancelling releases the hold
Cancel an order for all five units and the quotation can be converted for five again.
And a way to cancel
A confirmed document could not be cancelled. It could not be deleted either (rightly, because its number is on record), so there was nothing at all to do with an order that had gone wrong, and the delete dialog told people to cancel it while offering no way to.
- Quotations, sales orders, invoices and credit notes can all be cancelled
- In the menu rather than among the buttons, because it is the one move nobody should press by accident
- It says what it will do to this particular document before doing it: an invoice leaving receivables is not the same as a quotation being withdrawn
- The number stays on record: cancelling is not deleting
Does this affect anything existing?
Nothing already converted changes. The limit is counted from the documents that exist, so whatever has been raised stays exactly as it is.
One thing behaves differently. A quotation converted in part now stays open rather than closing, which is what makes the second order possible. If you have quotations closed by a partial conversion, they stay closed until you reopen them.

5 GB storage per workspace (organisation)
Only want this one module?
Individual modules are sold on their own alongside the plans. See every module’s price.
What about storage?
A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.
Annual or monthly?
Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
