Proposals: signatures, products and services, earlier versions, and the quotation that follows
Proposals now carry signatures: yours or the organisation's, and the client's, drawn on their phone when they accept. List the products and services a proposal offers and have a costing approval apply only when particular ones are included, ask a named colleague to approve one, put an earlier version back, and make the quotation, sales order or invoice from it when the client says yes.

What is new
Proposals arrived this morning. This is the next part of them: what happens around the pages, from who signs them to the document that follows once the client says yes.
Signatures
Your own
Drawn or uploaded in your profile, with a title under your name. Tick one box and the people who report to you can use it too.
The organisation's
Kept in Settings › Proposal templates. One is the default, carried by proposals whose writer has none of their own.
A block on the pages
Put a signature block anywhere in the designer: ours on the left, the client’s on the right.
The client signs
Accepting asks for a name and a signature drawn with a finger. The PDF prints it with the date, time and where it was signed from.
Around the proposal
Products and services
List what a proposal offers from your items or as your own lines, and use their total as its value.
A costing approval
In Settings › Approvals, a rule can apply only when a document includes particular items, on proposals and quotations alike.
Ask a colleague
Where no rule applies, ask one named person to approve a proposal before it goes. They are told in the app.
Earlier versions
Kept before each stretch of editing, when it is sent and before anything is put back. Read any of them and put one back.
When the client says yes
Convert it
From the proposal’s menu, as a quotation converts: to a quotation, or to a sales order or invoice as your business’s route allows, with the products as lines.
A lead becomes a customer
An order or invoice needs a customer, so the window quotations use converts the lead first, then opens the order or invoice.
Its number as the reference
What it becomes carries the proposal’s number as its Reference, printed on the quotation, order or invoice PDF.
Each points to the other
Created from on the new document, Led to on the proposal, which reads Converted.
Who can use it
Keeping your own signature needs the right to create proposals; the organisation’s need the Settings permission for templates. Converting a proposal to a quotation, order or invoice needs Convert on proposals and Create on that document. Everything is in the documentation under Signatures on a proposal, What a proposal offers and Convert a proposal.
Does this affect anything you already have?
Proposals already written are unchanged until you choose a signature or list products on them. Approval rules you already have work as before; the new condition only applies where you add it.
Also fixed: when a client accepted or declined a quotation or proforma from its share link, the entry in Settings › Audit log was not being written. It is now.
Coming next
Charts, text boxes and columns in the designer, and opening a Word document into it, arrived the same day: see the next note.

5 GB storage per workspace (organisation)
Only want this one module?
Individual modules are sold on their own alongside the plans. See every module’s price.
What about storage?
A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.
Annual or monthly?
Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
