Converting a quotation does what it says, and follows your settings

An accepted quotation had a Convert button that only changed its label and then blocked the real conversion. It is gone. And invoicing in instalments now follows the route you chose for your quotations.

What was wrong

On an accepted quotation, the blue Convert button marked it “Converted” without making a sales order or an invoice. A quotation marked that way then refused the real conversion, so it could no longer become an order or an invoice.

With “A sales order, then invoice from that” chosen, ticking “Invoice a quotation in instalments” quietly let quotations skip the sales order and be invoiced directly.

What happens now

➤

No label-only Convert

Use Convert to sales order or Convert to invoice from the … menu, which make the real document and open it.

✓

Converted means converted

A quotation says Converted only once every line of it is on a sales order. It can no longer be set by hand.

⚙

Instalments follow the route

Instalments need quotations to be invoiced directly. With “sales order first”, the option is greyed out with a note saying to choose “An invoice directly” or “Either”.

Also

Messages and help that pointed at “Settings → Business profile → Documents” now point at Settings → Plugins → Sales documents, where these settings live.

Does this affect anything you already have?

Quotations already converted into orders or invoices are unchanged. A quotation that was only marked Converted, with nothing made from it, can be set back to Accepted on request so it can be converted properly.

Your instalment tick is kept. If your route is “sales order first”, choose “Either” to use instalments again.

1 GB storage per workspace (organisation)

Only want this one module?

Individual modules are sold on their own alongside the plans. See every module’s price.

What about storage?

A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.

Annual or monthly?

Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
