Sections, menus and icons

Renaming things, moving them, and adding a section of your own.

The sidebar is not fixed. Anything can be renamed, moved, hidden, or joined by something of yours — under Settings → Modules & menu.

Renaming and reordering

  1. Drag a module to move it up or down the sidebar.
  2. Drag an entry inside a module to move it within its group.
  3. Choose Rename to call a module or an entry whatever your team calls it — a “Lead” can be an “Enquiry” everywhere in the suite.
  4. Use the eye to hide something. Hiding removes it from the navigation and deletes nothing; anyone with a direct link still needs permission to open it.
  5. Choose Save order when you are done.

A section of your own

A section is a heading in the sidebar with its own entries under it — “AI”, “Field work”, “Compliance”. Choose New section, name it, and put things in it:

  • Menu items — links to a page in the suite, or out to wherever your team already works. A link that leaves the suite opens in its own tab.
  • Modules you made — choose the section when you make the module, or change it later from Edit.

A section sits wherever you drag it, among ours. Drop it between Sales and Procurement and that is where it appears. Your own lists show above your links inside it.

Icons

Every entry in the sidebar has an icon of its own, and no two are alike. To change one, choose the icon at the start of its row and pick from the library, grouped and searchable by what it is for rather than what the icon is called: type “complaint”, “visit” or “training” and the right ones come up. Use the default puts the original back. A section of your own starts with the folder.

The screens inside Settings have no icon here. Settings is one entry in the sidebar, so an icon on them would never be drawn.

The quick bar

Beside New section is a tick, Quick bar along the bottom. It is on for every business and every plan: a bar along the bottom of the screen with each person’s most used places, on a phone or a computer. Untick it to take the bar away for everyone in the business; tick it to bring it back.

What sits on the bar stays each person’s own. They press and hold any icon on it to add, remove and reorder, and it shows only what they may open, with the icons set above.

Only someone with Manage on Modules & menu can change the tick. Everyone else sees it greyed out.
