Bills and expenses that repeat

Rent, a retainer, a subscription, an internet line: set up the bill or the expense once and it is raised on its own every month. Bills arrive as drafts for the vendor's bill number; expenses can be recorded as paid from the account a standing order leaves.

What is new

Repeat a bill

On any bill, choose Repeat this bill. Each one is raised as a draft with the same vendor, lines and taxes, ready for the vendor’s bill number before you open it.

Repeat an expense

Press the repeat button on any expense. Each one is recorded on its date with the same category, amount, GST and vendor.

Paid as it is raised

For a standing order or an automatic debit, tick Record each one as paid and choose the account. The payment goes in on the same date, as pressing Pay would.

Run, pause or raise early

Recurring bills sit under Procurement and Recurring expenses under Books, each with what it has raised, Pause, Resume and Raise next now.

Does this change anything you already have?

No. Recurring invoices work exactly as before.

What about storage?

A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.

Annual or monthly?

Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
