Change several expenses, bills or payments at once

Tick the rows, choose Change, and set the category, the due date, the mode or the account on all of them.

When forty expenses went to the wrong category, or a supplier agreed a new date for all its bills, you change them together instead of opening each one.

  1. Open the list: Expenses, Purchase bills, Payments received or Payments made.
  2. Tick the rows to change. The bar above the list says how many are chosen.
  3. Choose the pencil, Change.
  4. Set what should change. A box left at Leave as it is keeps what each one has.
  5. Choose Change.

What each list can change

  • Expenses: the category and the due date.
  • Purchase bills: the due date.
  • Payments received: the mode, and the account the money went into. The bank balances move with it.
  • Payments made: the mode. The account a payment left is not changed here, one at a time or several.

When some are kept as they were

Each one is changed exactly as if you had edited it on its own, so whatever would stop that edit stops this one too: a date in a closed period, a cancelled bill, an expense waiting to be repaid with the salaries, a refund that belongs to a credit or debit note. Those stay as they were and are listed with the reason; the rest change.
