An item gets a page of its own

Half of what there is to know about an item had no room in a panel down the side.

Why a page

An item opened in the drawer the list uses for editing. That is the right shape for a form and the wrong one for a record that is read far more often than it is changed: where the stock sits, what it has been sold on, what has been done to it.

What is on it

▦

The four figures, up front

On hand, available with what is reserved, stock value, and the selling rate with its cost beside it.

⌗

Stock by warehouse and by bin

Each warehouse valued at the cost carried on its own balance, not at one blended average: a warehouse that received at a different price is worth a different amount, and one number for all of them hides that.

⇄

Orders and movements

Every quotation, order, invoice and purchase order the item has appeared on, and every movement with the balance after it.

✎

Comments, and history

The same comment feed every document and vendor carries. An item is a record people argue about (why this rate, why this reorder point), and the argument belongs on the record.

And one thing removed

The Comments tab on a lead, customer, company, deal or task no longer carries its own History list. Those records already have an Activity tab reading the same changes from the same store, so History sat one click away from itself and made somebody choose between two tabs showing the same thing.

Documents, vendors and items keep theirs: none of them has an Activity tab, so it is the only way into their changes.

Does this affect anything existing?

No data changes. Editing an item still opens the same generated form, so any field your business has added to items is on it without the new page needing to know.

Pricing

Start with what you need. Grow into the rest.

Per user, per month. Every plan carries the whole product’s foundations (custom fields, roles, reports, documents and notifications) and differs only in how many modules are switched on. Change plan whenever you like; nothing is re-entered and nothing is lost.

1 GB storage per workspace (organisation)

Only want this one module?

Individual modules are sold on their own alongside the plans. See every module’s price.

What about storage?

A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.

Annual or monthly?

Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
