A locked period now stays locked in Sales, Purchases and Banking too
Transaction locking offered Sales, Purchases, Banking and Everything, but only manual journals obeyed it. Now every invoice, credit note, bill, debit note, expense, payment, payroll run and TDS entry dated in a locked period is refused, wherever the change comes from. Bulk delete on a list also now follows each document's own rules.

What was wrong
Accountant, Transaction locking lets you close the books up to a date, by area. Only manual journals checked it. Locking Everything to 31 March still let anyone add, edit, cancel or delete a March invoice, bill, expense or payment, and the GST return already filed for March no longer matched the books.
Separately, ticking documents on a list and pressing Delete removed them without the rules their own page applies: only a draft may be deleted, and only the newest number in its series. An issued invoice could go, number and all.
What the lock covers now
Sales
Quotations, orders, invoices, credit notes, refunds and payments received. A sale at the till and an invoice from project time too.
Purchases
Purchase orders, bills, debit notes, expenses, payroll runs and payments out.
Banking
Opening balances, TDS deposits, and any payment that went through a bank account.
Every way in
Created, edited, cancelled, deleted, imported, or raised by a job: repeat invoices, subscription renewals and Shopify orders are refused or skipped with the reason.
After the lock date
A payment dated after the lock can still settle an older invoice, the way Zoho Books works. The payment is the new transaction.
Bulk delete follows the rules
Each ticked document goes through its own delete: drafts only, newest number first. Anything kept is named with the reason.
Does this change anything you already have?
Only if you have set a lock. Nothing that already happened is changed or moved. A refusal says which area is closed, up to which date, the reason typed by whoever closed it, and where to move the lock if that period really has to reopen.

5 GB storage per workspace (organisation)
Only want this one module?
Individual modules are sold on their own alongside the plans. See every module’s price.
What about storage?
A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.
Annual or monthly?
Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
