Every export now carries ids and names, ready to import back

A deal export used to show the customer as a long random number and no company at all. Every linked record now comes out twice, as an id to import against and a name to read.

What was wrong

An export wrote a linked record as its id under the field’s own name, so the Customer column of a deal export held a string like 65939383-b21e… and nothing a person could read. A linked field hidden on screen was left out entirely. Tasks and visits exported no lead, customer, deal or company. Payment and expense exports named people but gave no ids, and several reports gave neither.

What every export gives now

#

Its own id, first

The record’s id in the first column, labelled with the module: Deal id, Invoice id, Payment id.

⇆

Id and name for each link

Customer id and Customer, Company id and Company, Lead id and Lead, Deal id and Deal, Vendor id and Vendor, Project id and Project.

👤

The owner too

Owner id and Owner, instead of a name alone or a bare id.

✓

Nothing left out

A linked field hidden on screen is still exported, so a file can always go back in.

Across the suite

CRM: leads, customers, companies, contacts, deals, tasks and visits. Tasks and visits now carry Lead, Customer, Deal and Company, the company being the customer’s or the deal’s.

Sales and purchase documents: quotations, orders, invoices and the rest add deal, lead, project, the document they came from and the owner. Purchase documents, vendors, projects and items give every link as id and name.

Payments and expenses: payments received and made give the payment id, the customer or vendor id and the ids of the documents paid. Expenses and bills give their id, category id and payee id.

Reports: stock valuation, ageing, movement, reorder, expiry, vendor supply, stock balances, packing history and price lists give item, vendor, batch, warehouse and order ids. Receivables and payables ageing, payments, TDS and bank statements give document, party and reference ids.

Subscriptions, plans, warranties, quality records, manufacturing orders and your own custom modules export the same way.

New columns on Tasks and Visits

Lead, Customer, Company and Deal are now columns you can switch on under Columns, so you can sort and scan by them instead of reading the line under each title.

Does this affect anything you already have?

No data changes. Import reads the “… id” column for a linked field, so an export goes straight back in. An older file with ids under the plain heading still imports as before.

Pricing

Start with what you need. Grow into the rest.

Per user, per month. Every plan carries the whole product’s foundations (custom fields, roles, reports, documents and notifications) and differs only in how many modules are switched on. Change plan whenever you like; nothing is re-entered and nothing is lost.

1 GB storage per workspace (organisation)

Only want this one module?

Individual modules are sold on their own alongside the plans. See every module’s price.

What about storage?

A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.

Annual or monthly?

Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
