Read-only now means read-only: marked or shared to read, a record can be seen and not changed
Mark to keeps a colleague informed, and a read-only sharing rule lets people see records. Until now both could still call off planned calls, delete files, comment and convert. Now they can see the record and everything on it, and change none of it. Bulk edit and delete on custom modules now check each record too.

What was wrong
Being marked on a record already stopped a person editing or deleting the record itself. It did not stop them working on what hangs off it: they could call off or reschedule a planned call, upload or delete attachments, comment, plan a visit or task on it, convert the lead, or send and convert a document.
What a marked person can do now
See everything
The record, its activity, comments, files, tasks, visits and documents, exactly as before.
Change nothing
No calls marked done, moved or called off; no comments, files, visits, tasks or emails; no converting, sending, sharing or deleting.
A clear page
The page says why: marked on it to be kept informed, or shared with them to read. The buttons that would change it are not shown.
Shared to read
The same for anybody who can only read a record, through a read-only sharing rule or a business-wide setting that lets everybody read.
Custom modules in bulk
Bulk edit and bulk delete on a module your business made now change only the records each person may change, and say how many were left alone.
Everywhere
Leads, customers, companies, deals, tasks, visits, every sales and purchase document, vendors, subscriptions, expenses, projects, quality inspections and manufacturing orders.
Does this affect anything you already have?
Only people who may read a record and not change it: marked on it and nothing more, or given it to read. If they also own it, are assigned to it, manage its owner, or have a role or sharing rule that lets them change it, they keep doing so. The business owner is never narrowed. To let somebody work on a record, assign them to it or share it to read and write.

5 GB storage per workspace (organisation)
Only want this one module?
Individual modules are sold on their own alongside the plans. See every module’s price.
What about storage?
A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.
Annual or monthly?
Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
