Payroll deducts PF, ESI and professional tax as your business does, and books the employer’s share
The accountant's check went through expenses and payroll. PF came off every salary even at a business not registered for it, the employer's own PF and ESI were never booked, and professional tax could not be entered. Each is now put right, with five fixes to expenses alongside.

What changed
PF and ESI when you deduct them
Two switches in Settings, Payroll say whether your business deducts PF and ESI. Both are off until you switch them on, so a business that is not registered no longer has PF taken off every salary.
The employer's share is booked
Where PF and ESI are deducted, the business’s own 12% PF and 3.25% ESI are booked on top, as a cost and as money owed. Before, staff cost read ₹1,850 a month short on a ₹20,000 salary.
Professional tax on each employee
A monthly amount on each employee, with February’s own where your state charges more then. It comes off the salary and is owed to the state in Professional tax payable.
Somebody outside PF
Untick In PF on an employee who is not in it: nothing comes off their salary and the business pays nothing on them, while everyone else carries on.
A salary is paid with its run
A salary is paid, undone and deleted from Payroll only. Paying one from Expenses as well paid it twice in the books.
Foreign expenses in rupees
A USD expense reads in rupees in GSTR-3B, the profit and loss and the dashboard, and once paid its rate stays, so the payment keeps what it was paid at.
Blocked vendors and old payments
An expense is refused against a blocked vendor, as a bill is. Removing a payment no longer wipes out an amount paid before payments were recorded.
Does this change anything you already have?
Salary runs already made keep what they deducted. A business that had already run salaries starts with PF and ESI switched on, so its next run reads as its last; from that run the employer’s share is booked too, and staff cost rises by it. Professional tax starts blank on every employee until you set it.

5 GB storage per workspace (organisation)
Only want this one module?
Individual modules are sold on their own alongside the plans. See every module’s price.
What about storage?
A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.
Annual or monthly?
Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
