The roles that ship with JAI CRM can now be changed

The roles a business starts with, Administrator, Manager, Sales executive and the rest, opened read-only, and the only way to change one was to copy it. A copy lost its place in the organisation tree and its warehouse limit. Now an administrator changes a preset directly, the change stays through later releases, and one button puts it back as it ships.

What changed

✎

Change any preset

Open Manager, Sales executive, Accounts or any other role marked Preset and change its ticks, its scopes and its warehouse limit. The change reaches everybody on it the moment you save.

🔒

Your change stays

Each release tops the shipped roles up with anything new, such as a new screen. It only adds what a role does not mention at all, so what you took away stays away.

↺

Put back as it ships

One button in the role fills the grid with what the role ships with. Nothing changes until you press Save, so you can look first and cancel.

👑

The owner keeps everything

The business owner’s access never comes from a role, so changing Administrator cannot lock the business out of its own settings.

🛡

What stays fixed

A preset still cannot be deleted, and its Portal role tick stays as it ships, so a staff role cannot turn into a customer login.

Does this change anything you already have?

Nothing changes on its own. Every role keeps exactly what it grants today until somebody with Roles and permissions: Edit changes it. Copies made earlier are ordinary roles and are left as they are.

Pricing

Start with what you need. Grow into the rest.

Per user, per month. Every plan carries the whole product’s foundations (custom fields, roles, reports, documents and notifications) and differs only in how many modules are switched on. Change plan whenever you like; nothing is re-entered and nothing is lost.

1 GB storage per workspace (organisation)

Only want this one module?

Individual modules are sold on their own alongside the plans. See every module’s price.

What about storage?

A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.

Annual or monthly?

Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
