The serials tab said none while two were in stock

An item with two serials in stock read "No serials recorded", and then refused to add them, correctly, because they were already there. The error was right and the screen underneath it was wrong.

What happened

The Serials tab on an item was being handed the item’s batch records rather than its serial numbers, and the page it read them from never returned serials at all. So an item with SN-0001 and SN-0002 sitting in stock showed an empty panel saying none had been recorded, and then refused to add them again, accurately, because they were already on the register.

The search made it worse. It demanded the whole serial, exactly, so typing the prefix they all share answered “not found” about rows that existed.

What it does now

▤

A register you can read

Every serial in stock, with its status, its warehouse and the date it was recorded. Serials that have shipped are counted separately and shown behind Show all serial numbers, so a list of what is on the shelf is not padded with everything ever sold.

⌕

Search that narrows

Type any part of a serial and the list narrows as you type. Press Enter, or pick one, for the full trail: every movement that unit has been on, in order.

✓

Nothing said twice

Three different empty states, told apart: nothing on the register, nothing matching what you typed, and everything having shipped. Each needs a different next move, so each says something different.

↓

Export follows the screen

The export used to hand back the whole register however the list was filtered. It now exports what you are looking at, and carries the warehouse.

Does this affect anything you already have?

No serial data was ever lost. The records were correct throughout, and only the screen was wrong. Anything recorded before today is on the register and visible now.

1 GB storage per workspace (organisation)

Only want this one module?

Individual modules are sold on their own alongside the plans. See every module’s price.

What about storage?

A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.

Annual or monthly?

Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
