What was wrong
Projects and tasks could be filtered on a short list of built-in fields. Everything a business had added itself (the fields that carry the way it actually works) could not be filtered on at all, which meant exporting to a spreadsheet to answer a question the product already had the data for.
Custom fields were also all-or-nothing: adding a status list for one project put it on every project, so a field that made sense for a construction job appeared on a retainer.

A field can belong to one project
Under Fields and rules, a custom field applies to everything or to the projects you name, so project A’s task statuses and project B’s can differ.
Does this affect anything existing?
Nothing changes on its own. Existing custom fields stay applicable to everything until you narrow them, and no saved data moves.

What about storage?
A single module includes 1 GB of storage per workspace (organisation) and Full Suite includes 5 GB per workspace (organisation): documents, attachments, file versions and photographs, counted together for everyone in it, not per user. Add more at any time in tiers, or move to Full Suite and take the larger allowance with it. Nothing is deleted if you run close; uploads are refused with a reason, and what you already have stays exactly where it is.
Annual or monthly?
Both. Annual works out cheaper per month and is charged once at the start; monthly costs a little more and can be stopped at the end of any cycle. The card shows the per-user-per-month figure on both, so the two are comparable at a glance rather than by arithmetic.
