Leads, deals and documents on a partner’s page

The tabs that list every lead, customer, deal, quotation, order and invoice credited to a partner.

Beside What they brought in, a partner’s page has a tab for each kind of record credited to them, with how many there are. Each opens the same list you would see in that module, narrowed to this partner.

TabLists
LeadsEvery lead referred by them, open, converted or lost.
CustomersEvery customer credited to them.
DealsEvery deal credited to them, with its value.
Quotations, Sales orders, InvoicesEvery document of that kind credited to them, with its total.
Activity, Comments, Attachments, HistoryAs on every record: calls and meetings with the partner, notes for your team, their files, and every change to the partner.

The tabs are not limited to a period: they list everything ever credited. The figures on What they brought in are for the period chosen there. Open any row to go to that record.

What you can see

The tabs follow your own access. A salesperson who sees only their own leads sees only their own among the partner’s leads. The figures on What they brought in count everything credited to the partner, so a manager and a salesperson may see the same total with different rows behind it.

Working with the partner

  • Log a call or a meeting with them from Activity, so the relationship has a history like a customer’s.
  • Put their price list or agreement under Attachments.
  • Use Comments to tell the colleague who looks after them about a complaint from one of their customers.

Use cases

  • A partner asks how her clients are getting on: open her Leads tab and read down the stages.
  • Checking a commission claim: open the Invoices tab, open each invoice, and see what was paid against it and when.
  • Before deleting or deactivating a partner: the tab counts show at a glance whether anything is still open.

Reading the tabs

  • The number beside each tab is how many records of that kind are credited to the partner in all, whatever the period chosen on What they brought in.
  • Each tab is the module’s own list, so it can be searched and sorted the same way, and each row opens the record.
  • A lead that was lost stays on the Leads tab with its stage, so you can see what became of every referral, not only the ones that bought.
  • A quotation, order or invoice shows its total; open it to see its status and what has been paid.
