The supplier’s invoice. Its owner is whoever has to check it against the order and the goods, then get it approved.
What you would route on
Any field on the module can be used, including ones you have added yourself. These are the ones businesses reach for:
| Field | Why you would route on it |
|---|---|
| Vendor | Keep it with the buyer who placed the order. |
| Total | Large bills to somebody senior. |
| Due date | Bills falling due soon to whoever is scheduling payments. |
A worked example
An importer routes purchase bills to the person who raised the matching order, so the three-way check — order, goods, bill — is done by one person who knows what was expected.
Caps and overflow
| Setting | Worth it here? |
|---|---|
| A cap per person | Yes. |
| An overflow owner | Yes. |
Where to go next
- Writing the rule
- When it runs — on create, on edit, or both
- Capping how much each person gets
- Where the overflow goes
