Which buyer looks after which supplier. Vendors are a relationship like customers, and the same logic applies: somebody should own it before there is a problem.
What you would route on
Any field on the module can be used, including ones you have added yourself. These are the ones businesses reach for:
| Field | Why you would route on it |
|---|---|
| Category | Raw material to one buyer, packaging to another. |
| City / State | Territory, where you visit suppliers. |
| Payment terms | Long-credit vendors to somebody senior. |
A worked example
A manufacturer splits vendors by what they supply: steel and castings to the materials buyer, consumables and packaging to the stores in-charge. New vendors added by anybody land with the right buyer.
Caps and overflow
| Setting | Worth it here? |
|---|---|
| A cap per person | Rarely. |
| An overflow owner | Rarely. |
Nothing stops you setting either — they are offered on every module. It is simply that a daily limit answers a question this module rarely asks.
