Money going back to you from a supplier — short supply, rejection, a rate difference. Worth owning, because an unchased debit note is money you have already lost.
What you would route on
Any field on the module can be used, including ones you have added yourself. These are the ones businesses reach for:
| Field | Why you would route on it |
|---|---|
| Vendor | Keep it with that supplier’s buyer. |
| Total | Large claims to somebody senior. |
| Reason | Quality rejections to the QC lead. |
A worked example
A processor routes every debit note to the buyer for that vendor, and any raised for a quality rejection to the QC lead instead, because they are the person who has to argue it.
Caps and overflow
| Setting | Worth it here? |
|---|---|
| A cap per person | Rarely. |
| An overflow owner | Rarely. |
Nothing stops you setting either — they are offered on every module. It is simply that a daily limit answers a question this module rarely asks.
