A correction to what the system thinks you hold. This is the module where ownership matters most, because an adjustment is where shrinkage hides.
Route to a named person rather than a rota. An adjustment is a control record, and a rota makes it nobody’s in particular.
What you would route on
Any field on the module can be used, including ones you have added yourself. These are the ones businesses reach for:
| Field | Why you would route on it |
|---|---|
| Warehouse | The site whose count changed. |
| Reason | Damage to the warehouse lead, count corrections to the supervisor. |
| Value | Large write-offs to a manager. |
A worked example
A warehouse routes every adjustment above ₹25,000 to the operations manager. Smaller corrections stay with the storekeeper. Nobody can quietly write off stock without a named person against it.
Caps and overflow
| Setting | Worth it here? |
|---|---|
| A cap per person | Rarely. |
| An overflow owner | Rarely. |
Nothing stops you setting either — they are offered on every module. It is simply that a daily limit answers a question this module rarely asks.
